I received the BSc and MSc degrees, both in electrical engineering from Khaje Nasir (KN) Toosi University of Technology and Tarbiat Modarres University in Tehran, Iran in 2003 and 2005, respectively. In 2008, I received the PhD degree from Cardiff University, UK under supervision of Dr Saeid Sanei and Prof Jonathon Chambers in Biomedical Signal Processing.

From September 2007 to September 2009, I worked for Prof Chris Miall in the Predictive Sensory Motor Lab, University of Birmingham as a postdoctoral research fellow. My research interests in Birmingham included Motor Control and brain machine interfacing. I also enjoyed collaborating with Dr Peter Praamstra in Birmingham.

I joined Dr Andrew Jackson's lab at the Institute of Neuroscience in Newcatle in October 2009 and my current research focus is Optimal Feedback Control Theory for Brain Machine Interface.
